Dr. Vince Sferra

Dr. Vince Sferra is the founder and Clinic Director of Natural Medicine & Rehabilitation.

He is Board Certified in Chiropractic Medicine and Chiropractic Neurology, a Certified Clinical Nutritionist and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certified by the National Strength & Conditioning Association. He has been in practice and providing educational health and wellness programs in the community since 1986.

In 1998, when Dr. Sferra founded Natural Medicine & Rehabilitation (NMR), he envisioned a society that consistently acted on their responsibilities toward greater health for themselves and their loved ones. He believes it is the consistent choices we make in what we ‘eat, think and do’ that will have the most significant impact on your health. Natural Medicine & Rehabilitation was founded as a holistic healthcare center that provides services to address the body’s nutritional needs, mental outlook, and physical state. These became the pillars of NMR’s Triad of Health, helping to address a myriad of health problems at their source to achieve long-term health instead of just symptom relief.

Dr. Sferra’s passion is to uncover the root cause of a disease by investigating the mechanisms through which a condition is occurring in an individual. He has a committed focus for working with and improving the quality of life for people struggling with systemic inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, chronic gastrointestinal disorders, cognitive decline syndromes such as post-concussion syndrome, early stages of common neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s as well as a multitude of autoimmune diseases.

Dr. Sferra was born and raised in Bridgewater and has been a lifetime resident of this community where he also began Natural Medicine & Rehabilitation over 24 years ago. His passion for helping others enjoy better health is evidenced by the many outreach efforts he provides to support and give back to his community which has earned him the Spirit of Somerset Award for outstanding contributions to health and wellness in Somerset County.

Dr. Sferra is regularly invited by local corporations to present his preventative wellness programs to educate and support efforts to create a healthier workforce. For over 35 years he has presented to many companies such as: Johnson & Johnson, Colgate-Palmolive, Pfizer, Allstate, Merrill Lynch, Raritan Valley Community College, Affinity Federal Credit Union, Eli Lilly and many others. Over the years he has taught back safety and injury prevention to many municipalities, and provided fitness, nutrition, and weight training programs for competitive college and high school athletes. He is also asked to contribute health and wellness information for the Medial Minutes column of our local magazine.

In his free time Dr. Sferra spends his time with his wife and children, reading and educating within his field of medicine and is a lifelong fitness and conditioning athlete with a passion for weightlifting and boxing.
