Pumpkin Smoothie packed with nutrients to help boost your Immune System

Pumpkin has numerous health benefits! It’s packed with vitamins and minerals to help boost your immune system. Pumpkin is a low calorie, but nutrient-dense food which can help with weight loss.  It contains fiber, potassium, and vitamin C which helps support heart health.  It is also a good source of beta-carotene, an antioxidant that gives orange vegetables their color. It’s high antioxidant content can also help reduce your risk of chronic disease.

Pumpkin Smoothie:

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk
  • 1/2 banana (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. of pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spices (or cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, ground cloves and all spice)
  • 2-3 ice cubes

Blend in a blender until smooth and enjoy!
