Director of Women’s Health
Dr. Claudia Tamas is the Director of Women’s Health at Natural Medicine & Rehabilitation (NMR), coordinating a multitude of services and leading a team of clinicians to achieve a unique approach that holistically serves women throughout all stages of their lives.
Dr Claudia believes that women deserve to be heard and cared for in unique ways that address and support their intricate physiology and their complex roles at home and in society. The one-drug, one-disease approach that has been adopted in conventional medicine falls short from bringing resolution to complex multi-factorial health problems that women are facing today. Her passion for serving women has sparked from her clinical interactions with her patients and a desire to meet a deep need for a better understanding and an integrated approach to all women’s health concerns. She developed several clinical programs at NMR that integrate physical and allopathic medicine to address complex conditions such as menstrual cycle dysregulations, pelvic floor disorders, hormonal and period health concerns, infertility, pre-conception health optimization, and pre/postpartum care.
Dr. Claudia developed and is involved in the post-cancer recovery program at NMR which gives cancer patients the opportunity to reclaim their lives and optimize their health after cancer diagnoses with therapies utilizing biofeedback, clinical nutrition/detoxification, acupuncture, and physical therapy, among others.
Over the last two years she has provided lectures in various corporate and public settings as part of the community outreach program at NMR, educating on chronic disease prevention, detoxification, and women’s health.
Areas of expertise include women’s health and fertility, post-chemotherapy or radiation treatment reconditioning, return-to-sport rehabilitation, running injury prevention and care, strength and conditioning, pre- and post-partum care, and orthopedic rehabilitation.
